The stage was crowded by sound of laugh. Mpok Nori just get
her head pushed by Sule.
That is just one example of OVJ’s humor. You guys, I bet you have ever watched OVJ comedy right (or always)? Maybe for many people, it looks so funny, but for some people (including me) it is not. There is something wrong is not suitable with our Indonesian culture.
Many peoples around the world like Indonesia because the nice vocation place, traditional handmade, and the culture. They like how we respect older peoples. In this case, what OVJ shows to the audience doesn’t show this one. They mock each other with physical and sometimes racist words (like Mpok Nori got). Let us take an example from SpongeBob Squarepants movie. There is an episode when SpongeBob is being a comedian. He makes his friend, Sandy, as an object. He mocks her and makes the audience thinks that a squirrel is a stupid and dumb animal. And it makes Sandy gets mad. Now, what Mpok Nori felt after that? Did it hurt her? Did she hide the hurt behind her laughs? Or maybe she did not get it?
Whatever her feeling, it will make an attitude of the audience become less to other people (and also older people). So guys, I do not ask you to stay away from that show. But , we should not implement the bad side of the show.
