Jolotundo
temple located in Seloliman villages, at Trawas district, Mojokerto,the exactly
places at slope of Penanggungan mount.People around the temple call it as Candi
Jolotundo or Petirtaan Jolotundo, Petirtaan has mean a Bathing place for
Official Kingdoms or Kings and Jolotundo temple have two wide pools for men and
woman that separated by wall, The pool in the East is for men and the pool in
the West is for women.If the visitors want to bathing at the pools, they
prohibited using a shampoo or soap to keeping the water purity and the
ecosystem of fishes that live at the pools.Some people believe that in long
time ago the Official Kingdoms , Queens or Kings used the pools to take a bath,That’s
why many people come to the place and take a bath in pools and do some ritual to
get the aura of Queens or Kings and people believe that the water can keep
people who take a bath in the pools look as young as before,it like fountain of
youth.but it just the myths which believed by minority of people.
This temple is very wonderful and great.i have been there
twice.I think it is the best place to visited when we have a lot of problems or
for everyone that want to make a tour with the family.The location is not so
far from Surabaya about 2 hours.some suggestion for everyone that want to
visited the place, don’t come to jolotundo on 1 muharram or 1 suro, the place
crowded by the visitors who want to take a bath in the pools especially at
midnight when full moon.The ticket costs is cheap, Rp.
3.500,- for adult and Rp. 2.000,- for children. Come to bathe at Candi Jolotundo
and prove it.
