There are a lot of culture in Indonesia. For example is wayang. It’s Java culture. Last year, It’s a one of famous entertaint for civilian. Wayang played by someone who called Dalang. Usually, dalang sit in front of the stage with the audience behind him with all of his wayang placed in the box near him. In wayang show, not only wayang and dalang that playing the show. There is a music group that accompany dalang to play the show and make the story become more interest. The group called by gamelan. In the gamelan there is a singer and music player. The musical instrument there are gong, gamelan, gambang, kendang, boning, etc. There are many character in wayang. For example is arjuna, gatutkaca, anoman, gajahmada, rahwana, etc. Each of wayang have different characteristic like a people. And there are many famous story that played in wayang show. There are Angling Dharma, Subali & Sugriwa, Mahabarata War, and many other. But, wayang have great history for Islam Culture. Especially in east Java. It’s become media for spread Islam Cultur by Sunan Kalijaga.
But, wayang isn’t popular again in this century. Maybe some people never see this show again. it’s become ancient culture in our country. Although this culture not to popular again. We must keep this in order to save from recognition another country. It’s must sustainable and we must proud with wayang. I love Indonesia ^.^
