Tomcat Disaster

Tomcat. This insect becomes like artist nowadays. It is shown in all mass media, newspaper, radio, even in television. But it’s not shown as a good news. A disease that was caused by this insect, can’t be called a good news, exactly. This disaster began from a place in Surabaya. In the field,  tomcat is the partner for farmers, because they are predators for the plant pests. But the situation changes lately. Tomcat  attacks people around them and make a dermatitic disease. It produce a liquid poison when they are forced. People skin who gets contact with their poison, become lumply like herpes. After that, the skin blistered and make  itching. This is a protection system of Tomcat, just an instinct for animal in order to survive. Or we can say that they just attack human when they are disturbed.

The disease could happen because we force them first, maybe we disturb their nest, kill the population, and the worst that we have done, is narrowing or even destroying their habitat. According to what the scientist said, there are two reason of their force. First, this time is weather change, or we usually call it pancaroba. Tomcat goes out from their nest and appears in the field. Second, they don’t have an enough place for live because of the land function change, from fields with a lot of plants, to a building area with a few plants. That’s the reason why this disaster happens in the city more often. We don’t live alone in the world, there are other God’s creatures too. As human, we have to keep the natural balance. Remaining world nature and its creature, is a duty for human as the earth keeper, that’s why the God create us.
